“The 20-Something Life” is the radio show that gives stories and advice for twenty-first century twenty-somethings. In this final episode of Season 1, Colenn talks with Beth Alexander–a UCSB alumna and fitness instructor–about working 4-ish different jobs at once, doing something you love for money, the type of people who go to workout classes, teaching spin classes at 6am, the fitness community culture, the huge variety of exercise options here in small-town Santa Barbara, positivity & smiling, the deal with fitness blogs, someecards, finding balance, free time, the years and years of prep that lead up to jobs teaching fitness, what to say to people who think that teaching exercise isn’t a real job, career options in the fitness industry, the idea that teaching exercise is a means of changing the world, withdrawing from college for a quarter to live in Spain and teach English and PE , living in Madrid for a year at age 10, and traveling the same route through Europe ten years after doing it for the first time.
